Track Log for North Twenty Mile Lookout
North Twenty Mile Lookout

Date: June 12, 2021 Hikers: Mark Hastings
Description:

I have a goal of hiking to most of the still standing old fire lookouts in Washington state. So each year I will be trying to hike to at least two lookouts that I haven’t been to. Saturday I decided to hike the obscure North Mile Twenty trail up to the lookout. This trail doesn’t get much use, and Saturday was exception. I didn’t see another person all day. This lookout is somewhat unique since it still contains the old 1920s era cupola house and the 1940s elevated platform lookouts. The distance was about 13 or 14 miles and an elevation gain of about 4300 feet for a max elevation of 7400 feet and some change.
